Terms & Conditions


These Terms & Conditions are subject to change from time to time and supersede any previous agreements, arrangements or proposals, whether oral or written.


  1. CONFIDENTIALITY
    1.1 At My-Personal-Assistant, Client confidentiality is paramount.  Client information will never be disclosed unless required to do so by law or to
          assist recovery procedures.

  2. 1.2 The Client consents to the computer storage and processing of personal data by My-Personal-Assistant in connection with the service required. 
          All reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure that all Client information obtained, held or transmitted by My-Personal-Assistant will remain
          securely confidential.

    1.3 The Client agrees that any Client data supplied to My-Personal-Assistant complies with copyright laws.

  3. CONSULTATION
    2.1 Initial consultation with a new Client is free of charge.  For each new project, a free 15 minute consultation will be provided.

  4. PROJECTS
    3.1 My-Personal-Assistant can accept work via telephone, email, CD or via post.  The work must be supplied at the Client's expense, in a legible,
          accurate format and within the timescales required for My-Personal-Assistant to deliver the required service.

    3.2 The Client must retain a duplicate copy as My-Personal-Assistant shall have no liability for loss or damage to the client data.  All data supplied by
          My-Personal-Assistant, where required by the service, becomes the sole responsibility of the Client upon receipt.

    3.3 All work will be returned by the stated preferred method.

    3.4 Before commencement of a project a quote will be provided.  This must be accepted, along with these Terms & Conditions, before any work
          begins.

    3.5 It is the responsibility of the Client to perform the final proofreading and checking of all work supplied by My-Personal-Assistant.  Any errors
          must be notified to My-Personal-Assistant within 2 working days of receiving the completed work, and it will be corrected free of charge.  If the
          Client requires any further amendments to be made, then this will be charged at the appropriate rate.

    3.6 All projects will be kept for 6 months, after which the project will be deleted from the PC and any backup device.  For a small charge, the project
          can be copied onto a CD for the Client.  My-Personal-Assistant accepts no responsibility for any lost or damaged documents or CDs that are
          sent through the post.

  5. CHARGES
    4.1 The minimum charge is one hour.  Thereafter, a Client will only be billed for the actual time worked on the project/service.  Some services
           require payment in full before commencement.

    4.2 The hourly rate does not include expenses such as stationery, postage, courier fees, telephone charges and CDs.  These will all be itemised 
           separately on quotations and invoices.

    4.3 If it is necessary for My-Personal-Assistant to visit a Client's premises, then My-Personal-Assistant will charge for the travel time to and from the
          Client's premises, in addition to the hours worked.

    4.4 Payments can be made by bank transfer or mobile payment.  A Standing Order may be set up for regular Clients.

  6. URGENT DEADLINES
    5.1 We will accept urgent work on an ad-hoc basis, which we will start as soon as possible.  Urgent work requires an additional one off payment of
          £20 in addition to the hourly rate.

  7. DEPOSITS
    6.1 A one off project that is not subject to payment upfront will require a 50% deposit.  The balance is then payable immediately upon completion
          of the project.

  8. INVOICES
    7.1 An invoice will be sent at the end of each month, following the work completed to date.  This must be paid within 7 days of the date of the invoice.

  9. BUSINESS HOURS
    8.1 Any work required outside of normal business hours is subject to a surcharge.
